Enamel Whitbread Brewer’s Trade Sign

The hind's head erased on a torse was the crest of the Whitbread family and adopted as the Whitbread Company logo and finally registered in 1876 as their trade mark. The brewery in Chiswell Street, in the London Borough of Islington, was named The Hind Brewery in 1750 by William Whitbread.
