Mahogany framed ship’s armchair

The seat and back upholstered in plush. The padded arms with turned column supports terminate with domino turned paterae and continue below the seat as gun barrel turned legs. The swept legs to the rear and the rake of the seat suggest it was intended for use on board ship, probably in the captain’s cabin.
