Marine Chronometer by John Poole, London. The three tiered rosewood, brass-bound box with inset folding cast brass carrying handles to each side. Brass escutcheon and key to the lower tier and push button brass knob opens the third tier. Ivory plaque to front engraved: John Poole, 57, Fenchurch Street London No. 2747. The  chain movement with Harrison’s maintaining power. The dial 3¾” silvered, signed John Poole maker to the Admiralty, 57 Fenchurch Street London, No. 2747. Roman numerals and brass hands. Subsidiary dials for up/down/wind and seconds dial. The two day movement in a lacquered brass bowl with screw down bezel with a pivoted gimbal. Brass knurled locking screw and tipsy key. The movement has been overhauled and tested. Bears a paper label within for Geo. Falconer and Co. Ltd. (H.K.), established 1855, 640 Alexander House, Hong Kong. Repairs: supply one mainspring, renew two pivots and four bushes. 14 February 1962.
