19th century mahogany framed 'sorcerer's' mirror

Mahogany framed ‘sorcerer’s’mirror, the circular turned moulded frame to bevel edged mirror plate with nine reverse circular convex optics.

Sorcerer mirrors were an early 16th century design, used to throw light around via the convex optics, thereby giving them "magical powers" - hence the name alluding to a magician or alchemist.
