Pair of walnut occasional tables, the square tops with canted corners, oyster veneered within feather banding and cross-banding to a moulded edge; the oyster veneers are repeated to the frieze. The turned barley-sugar legs with carved central knops, united by concave moulded stretchers of X form and standing upon scrolled Braganza feet.
The tables are examples of fine cabinet work and date from the early to mid 20th century but are in the style of Charles 11, circa 1690 - 1710 Perfect as coffee of drinks tables to have beside a sofa or armchair.
