Rare antique miniature mahogany Bagatelle board, quarter full size. The folding mahogany box opens to a baize-lined interior. By removing the retaining board you have a playing surface with an arched head and nine numbered recessed cups. To each side are scoring holes and four turned ebonised scoring pegs. Four red balls, four white balls and one black and a fine ash cane with spliced head. The box folds with brass hinges and has a pair of brass catches. The rarity lies in its size, as a full-sized board opens to approximately 8 feet. Perhaps this was a salesman’s sample to show prospective purchasers how the board and accessories would look.
