About Us

Commanding one of the highest positions in the Cotswolds, Stow on the Wold is the crossing place of six main routes including the Roman Fosseway.  This small market town with its characteristic stone buildings surrrounging the square is rich in history and has for generations been a place to visit and to trade.

We have been trading here as antiques dealers from our showrooms in Church Street for some 40 years, where we hold a varied stock of 17th, 18th and 19th century English antiques. Our broad brush approach to dealing favours fine antique furniture and furnishings for town and country houses so expect to find Georgian mahogany furniture, English oak and country pieces, metalwork, decorative antique objects, landscape and naive portrait paintings, works of art, folk art, curiosities, colonial pieces as well as traditional board games and sporting artifacts.   We also have a further store and exhibition space close by at The Granary, Huntsman's Yard, where further stock can be viewed on request.

Over the years, we have had the opportunity of meeting many private clients and antique collectors, and are an ongoing source for interior decorators and antiques dealers from both at home and abroad, who visit us here in Stow.  With the rising importance of the internet, however,  we also have an online presence at: www.baggottantiques.com, so if Stow is a step too far, we invite you to look around our current stock on our website.

We trade as two associated businesses:  Baggott Church Street Limited, Church Street, Stow on the Wold, GL54 1BB. Tel: 01451 830370,  &  Duncan J. Baggott, The Granary, Huntsman's Yard, Sheep Street, Stow on the Wold, GL54 1AA. Tel: 01451 830662
