Victorian walnut and burr walnut pedestal desk, Gilt tooled leather top within figured walnut cross-banding over three drawers, the two pedestals, each with three graduated drawers, all with mahogany linings and brass locks stamped with impressed marker’s name for T.Wilson, 68 Great Queen Street, London, who appears in trade directories around 1840. The plinth bases conceal china castors. The desk is freestanding, the reverse being polished.
