‘Scots-Pint’ pewter crested tappet hen tankard. Cylindrical body of typical shouldered form with reeding to body and lid. Pinched acorn shaped finial to hinged lid. ’S’ shaped fluted thumb piece to scrolled handle. Projecting ‘plouk’ to inside of neck indicates measure of ‘Scot’s Pint’ (or 3 imperial pints) to which it should be filled. Unidentified makers’ initials IW over IB to collar.
