Rare antique 18th century copper chocolate pot with Treen Stirring Stick.   The drinking of chocolate became very fashionable in 18th century coffee houses, this example is of low baluster form with turned side handle of turned wood, over raised base. The lid with spout has a hinged cover so that the swizzle stick can be used to whisk up the chocolate. Note the seamed construction.
