To the reverse, bears the label of the print and picture dealers, The Parker Gallery, Albemarle Street, London, trading since 1750.
Man Singh l (1550 - 1614), the most powerful and trusted generals of the Mughal emperor Akbar, is depicted standing upon an ornate carpet within a walled garden, wearing a bejewelled turban and shoes, a golden jama and carrying a golden staff and a shield over his left shoulder, his head traditionally haloed.
