Needlework woolwork sampler, demonstrating some fifty examples of complex patterns and techniques including Hungarian,
Florentine, tent and cross stitch. Each would have been worked as a reference for future use and, as time went by, more examples added. Samplers of this type appear in various museum collections in England, including the V&A and the Fitzwilliam in Cambridge, and abroad.
Good bright colours and in fine condition.
