Oak shield with painted armorial crest:
argent two pallets azure, overall on a fess engrailed sable a garb between two open books. Faint impression of maker’s mark to rear, ROGERS HIGH ST OXFORD. James Rogers, 51 High Street, Oxford, worked between 1907 - 1952 as a sculptor, craftsman in wood and later described as Heraldic Artist.
