Large 17th century antique lignum-vitae mortar

Large 17th century antique  lignum-vitae mortar.   Fine, broad rim to ring turnings above and below baluster waist. The base with ring turnings and a turned thread within the base which suggests that it had some form of stand to which it would've been attached. Wonderful rich brown colour and good patination.
