Mahogany folding box, the top veneered rosewood with boxwood inlaid and numbered for scoring and entitled Bezique. The interior accommodates two packs of cards, a compartment for four bone scoring pegs, two red, two white and Chas. Goodhall & Sons’ booklet, The Royal Game of Bezique.
The box, French, circa 1850 – 1900
