George lll silver gilt snuff box, rectangular with canted edges and rounded corners. Machine tooled to all surfaces with serpentine edged thumb piece. Fitted lid opens on single hinge to gilt void interior with both parts hallmarked. Birmingham hallmark for 1812 and maker’s mark IS in a rectangle for John Shaw (fl 1803 - 1825).
