Welsh parquetry inlaid tavern cribbage board. Exceptionally large mahogany cased and cross-banded board to boxwood and ebony stringing,  inlaid satinwood peg board and to each end inlaid chevrons.  The central burr yew panel is inlaid with a diamond chequer board. To the underside is a compartment with sliding lid designed to accommodate scoring pegs.
Welsh, circa 1840 - 1880
