Fine Georgian Sheffield plated charger cover, the oval domed lid with gadrooned border. the elaborate rococo handle with acorn and oak leaf detail. Engraved with crest of a horse’s head with the motto PRO REGE ET PATRIA (for king and county). Family crest of Sprot Tait’s formerly of Milrig House, Kilmarnock, Ayreshire. English, circa 1800 - 1830
