Yellow ground with green slip. The bowl with embossed decoration of classical form comprising floral swags to mask heads with horns over acanthus leaves, which also decorate the rim. Impressed maker’s mark, WARDLE, ENGLAND (of Hanley), and pattern no. 1940 to the base.
